Summer Must-Have: Quench Dry Skin with When Masks!

Traditional face masks have always been one of my favorite skincare products.  There's a new type of mask that's getting a lot of attention in the skincare world, and I'm definitely a fan. From budget-friendly 10 dollar masks to high-end 200 dollar masks, sheet masks are definitely making a splash!  

I'm very excited to introduce you to my favorite sheet masks, and they're called When Masks.  If you're not familiar with sheet masks, I hope this post will help explain what they are and how they work. When Masks produced solid results, they're really fun to use, and affordable!

What are When sheet masks?

--Sheet masks are cut to fit the contour of your face with holes to protect the 

   eyes and mouth. 

--They are typically made from cotton fabric or pulp

--The masks are soaked in a liquid solution which is formulated to target 

   certain skin concerns

What do sheet masks do?

--Sheet masks deliver nutrients to the skin due to its close contact with the skin

--They trap the liquid formula on top of your skin which allows the skin to     

   absorb the formula and seal in 

--Sheet masks typically provide intense hydration and nourishment

--Masks are super easy to apply and produce instant results 

--No additional products or tools are required after use

--Masks aren't a replacement for traditional gel or mud masks

When you want your makeup to look great and to last longer, the When Glamour Base Mask is perfect at preparing and prepping the skin.  The soft, jelly like mask sheet is made from coconut juice and is infused with a light, comforting serum. When Glamour Base contains adenosine, collagen and peptides to help improve skin elasticity.  Each of the When masks contain hyaluronic acid and ginseng extracts to help keep skin healthy.

--When Mask - The Last Choice--

When your skin needs that extra glass of water, quench the thirst with When-The Last Choice.  Flakes and patches have no chance with The Last Choice mask.  The soft, jelly like mask sheet is made from coconut juice and is infused with light, comforting serum. When-The Last Choice mask contains sodium hyaluronate and saccharide isomerate to help keep skin moisturized. All When masks contain hyaluronic acid and ginseng extracts to help keep skin healthy.

I like to use sheet masks when my moisturizer isn't doing the trick.  I have trouble with dry, flaky skin around my nose and sometimes on my cheeks.  In my opinion, sheet masks are the most helpful at adding extra hydration and brightening dull skin. Also, sheet masks don't exfoliate or deep cleanse, so they're not meant to replace traditional masks.  If I use a clay mask, I immediately follow up with a sheet masks since clay masks dry out my skin.

I'm so excited about this Dead Sea Mud Mask by Pure & Essential Minerals! The main thing to remember is this is a weekly mask.  I believe it would be too drying to the skin if it were used more than once per week.  I made sure to use a moisturizer with a SPF after I used it.  I tend to have skin that is on the sensitive side and I experienced no breakouts with this mask.  It's 100% natural and organic, so I felt safe using it.  A good way to make sure, is to do a patch test before applying it all over the face.

FOXBRIM 100% Organic Argan Oil

In the last year or so, I've heard a lot of talk about argan oil. I've noticed some of the beauty and skincare products I purchase, mention this oil as one of the ingredients.  But, if you look closer, these products actually have very little argan oil and a lot more silicone, artificial preservatives and dyes.

DIY: Coconut Oil and Lavender Exfoliating Scrub

 Coconut oil has become very popular in the beauty industry.  I  always keep it on hand, and use it several different ways for skincare.  It's great to use for makeup remover, dry skin and split ends.  But, my favorite is combining it with essential oils and sugar for a great facial/body scrub.
